Happy Halloween

The eve of Halloween, kids are in bed and mommy needs to make a Halloween card for my Secret Spook. I entered this card into the PaperPlay challenge Week 43-Halloween Inspiration at http://paperplaychallenges.blogspot.com/ and Challenge 188-Sketch Time at Cute Card Thursday
The card is a regular A2 size card (5 1/2 x 4 1/4). I used the Tim Holtz K and Company Halloween and Fall paper stack.  I love the paper in this stack. I used a lime green cardstock base.  The yellow mat is cut at 1 3/4 buy 5 1/4 and I tied it together with some scraps of black ribbon.  The mat for the frog is 2x 2.
The frog and sentiment stamps are from Craftsmart and I got them in our $1 bin at our local Michaels store. I also used some buttons (also in the $1 bin at Michaels.)
Hope you like it and have a "Toad-ally" awesome Halloween....

Wild Card Series #20 Pinwheel Card

Certainly a different take on an everyday card.  With Christmas a few months away, I decided to try to make a Pinwheel (or spin) Christmas Card.  I have more smaller Christmas images than I do others.
you will need a small brad for this card.  I cut the card, envelope, liner, and frame all at 6 1/2".
There is no liner for the card so my cardstock had to be simple.  The frame and liner I chose to use patterened paper from Tis the Season, and use up some scraps I had lying around.
The card base and envelope base is a green cardstock.
The stamped images are various ones that I had lying around from Stampin' Up, Recollections and a few that I picked up in the $1 bin at our local Michaels.  All inks are from Stampin' up.

Wild Card Series #19 Wave Card

This card is a very simple card to make.  There is not a lot to put together on it.
My card and all accessories were cut at 6 1/2".  My card base is white and the patterened paper is from Black River Designs Duck Pond.  I used a Navy blue Icon.
I only used the accessories of the liners, the card & envelope and icon.
I added a sentiment from the Occasional Quotes Stampin' Up set.

Wild Card Series #18 Thanks Card

I couldn't wait to put this card together.  I love the odd lines to it and of course the shape is amazing.
Word of advise, I spent over 1/2 hour wondering why my liner wouldn't fit and actually cut another and the whole time, my envelope was scored backwards.
I cut this card and all accessories at 6".  I used both liners, the frame and phrase. Instead of keeping the Icons that came from the envelope when it was cut, I cut 3 icons in the same cardstock as the card base.
The patterened paper is from Cloud 9 Designs Sparkle Chocolate Parfait.  I have been saving this cardstock for years now for a "special" card and this was the one I chose.
I had a matching lime green ribbon that I also added to the card.

Wild Card Series #17 Circle Card

This was a very simple little card as most of the card layouts from the Wild Card cartridge are.  The envelope I find though is a little too "compact" for my liking so I would make it a size larger next time.
The Circle Card if found on p. 48 of the manual.  I cut it at 4" and used a blackout of the card and also the envelope.  I also cut both liners and icon 1. I did not add the Phrases from the book, instead added a Thank You sentiment that I had.
As I said, next time I would cut the envelope to 4 1/4". The patterend paper is from My Minds Eye Totally Girl paper pad.

A cute, yet simple everyday card.

Wild Card Series #16 Tweety Card

This card and all accessories was cut at 5".  This card is on page 47 of the Wild Card manuel.  I have to say, I use this card design a lot. I cut both liners, the card, the envelope, the frame, phrase 1, and icon 1.

The patterened paper is from K & Company and if from The Best of K & Company paper pad.

Wild Card Series #15 All In One

I really like how this turned out.  I am always putting gift cards in an envelope with a Holiday card or birthday card!  Now I can eliminate that and make an envelope and matching card for it.

The card was cut at 4 1/4".  This will fit a standard size Gift Card.  For this, I cut the envelope, card, liner 1 (forgot to do Liner shft) all at 4 1/4.
I then measures all of my outside sides of the card holder and came up with the following demensions:
3/4 x 4", 2 x 4", 2 1/2 x 4".
I put them on and then decided to round the edges with my corner rounder.
The patterned paper is Tis the Season and has tons of beautiful patterned paper.

Wild Card Series #14 Triangle Card

I cut the triangle card at 6".  All accessories are cut at 6".  The patterned paper is from Sassagraslass and is called |Extravagant. I also added a little bling to the "smile" phrase.

Wild Card Series #13 Tied Up

I am not a fan of this card, but here it is.  The card and all accessories are cut at 2 1/2".  you have to cut the card first as it is a Trifold card and it is longer. You can use your fit to page feature for that.
The paper is from Chatterbox and is the Dress Squares" I used a sentiment from the SU Occasional Quotes set.
I tied it together with a green ribbon.

Wild Card Series #12 Leaf Card

I love this paper line from K & Company.  It is from Tim Coffey's Halloween & Fall. So much variety and choices for many beautiful projects.
The card is the Leaf Card from the Wild Card cartridge.  I cut the card and all accessories at 5 3/4".
I tied it all together (literaly) with a seafoam green ribbon.

Happy Autumn!!!

Wild Card Series # 11 Swoop

I am really happy how this turned out! Love the patterned paper ( K & Company Tim Coffey Blossomwood)
The card and all accessories (except the phrase) are cut at 3 3/4".  The phrase is cut at 4".  I cut the icon in black and places it outside the envelope and the icon that came from the envelope shift, I places on the card and added a green pearl bead to it.
Hope you like it!

"B" Bee

I made this card for a friend of mine who just got her "B" contract.  That is a permanent teaching contract and decided to pun up the "B" sentiment.
I cut the bee and hive at 3 1/2" and the hive accessory 2 I cut 3 times, one in red for the heart, a dark brown and then used patterned paper.  I used popdots to make it really stand out.
I added glossy accents as well.
 Congrats Courtneay!

Wild Card Series #10 Joy Card

I LOVE LOVE LOVE how this card turned out.  So far, it's one of my favorite.  Since it is getting closer to Christmas, I decided to make the Joy card reflecting a holiday theme with some patterned paper that I had, but you can make it any theme (Baby, wedding, engagment)...anything that's joyful.
I cut the envelope, card and all extra's at 6".  I cut the envelope on blackout feature.  The card, I used a deep red cardstock.  I also cut the frame from deep red.  I used both liners and added a ribbon to the card.  I also added a wee bit of bling to the j.

I hope you love it as much as I do!

Wild Card Series #9 Birthday

The Birthday card from the Wild Card Cartridge is cut at 6 3/4".  All accessories are also cut at 6 3/4". I used My Minds Eye Garden Party Series Lush Blooms Free Spirit for the patterned paper.
The sentiment I used was I missed your birthday....

Wild Card Series #8 Oval Card

The card and envelope were cut at 4 1/2".  I cut the card on blackout feature and then cut the actual card itself without doing the blackout.  I just cut off the solid piece but LOVED the swirled design.  I used S.e.i Seafoam patterned paper.  The phrase was cut at 5" and placed inside the card.  Everything else was cut at 4 1/2".  I used both icons for the envelope and places one on the back and the other on the front to give it a whimsical look.  Perfect for a wedding card.

Wild Card Series #7 Booklet Card

I love how this card turned out. I made the card 2 different ways using the same patterned paper. I cut the card, envelope and all accessories at 5".  Because it is a booklet card, you need to cut the card first and not the envelope as it will not fit the other way around.
Card and envelope are a brown cardstock base and the other card is a base of the patterned paper.  In the inside of the card, I used the Occasional Quote set from Stampin' Up and used sentiment We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we GIVE.
Inside the card, I used a border punch and accented it with a green ribbon.
Hope you like them.

Wild Card Series #6 Invite Card

I cut the Invite card at 4".  The card base and envelope are from Chloe's Closet line and are the Afternoon Tea patterned paper. The one's I chose where Black Currant Swirl for the envelope and Peppermint Blossom for the cards.
The sentiment I used is from Stampin' Up! and is the Occasional Quotes hostess set. I used the Stampin' Up ink Cameo Coral to stamp the sentiments.
I also added some paper flowers and put a pearl in them as well as the card does not want to stay shut.  I adhered these with glue dots, therefor the card top can slide easily behind the flower.
I am really happy how they turned out!

Wild Card Series #5 Trifold

The trifold card was cut at 6 3/4".  The card base is Ecru and the patterned paper is from K and Company Best of K and Company paper stack.  It is a beautiful paper stack with so many neat and different choices.
I used a Burgundy Bazzil Cardstock for the Frame and also the phrase.
