You're scent-sational!

Over the past few weeks,my husband has been away on a 5 wk long course.  Having 2 children under the age of 5 and another due to come in less than 6 weeks has been stressful.  So image my surprise when I get this beautiful message the other day to "treat" myself!  What else would an avid card maker/scrapbooker get for herself....
Well I took FULL advantage of a sale that Peachy Keen Stamps had a few weeks ago and ordered more Action Wobbles and MY 1ST Peachy Keen Stamp Set.  I also ordered 3 My Pink Stamper sets called Winter Punnies, Even More Punny-licious, & More Punny-licious.
Finally, I have had a chance to use all of my new "treats" and absolutely love all of them.  I am now addicted to Action Wobbles, & Peachy Keen Stamps and will order more cute little stamp sets from Mary @ Cardz TV and some others of course.  All we really have where I live is Michaels, and a private scrapbooking store....so limited supplies.
So here's my new card using my new Peachy Keen Stamp set called Critter Faces and also My Pink Stamper Even More Punny-licious stamp set.
This card is for my hubby who returns on Friday. If this little skunk doesn't melt your heart or make you giggle, I don't know what will....

Bubble Guppies Invitations

Hi Bloggers!  My daughter Aslynn turns 2 today.  I have been asking myself all day how this little Missykins has been growing up so quick in front of me....it literally seems like yesterday that we were taking her home for the first time and introducing her to her big brother.  In a few weeks, she'll have the same experience, just on the receiving end of welcoming a new sister!
Aslynn`s party is this Sunday and she is fascinated by the Bubble Guppies.  Personally, I love the show and if you have young kids, check it out on Treehouse. There is nothing in Canada that I have found in the realm of party supplies, but then again, who buys invites and party supplies when you can make them yourself.

Materials Used:
Patterned paper by K & Company (Best of...)
Glossy Accents for Mr. Grooper's Eyes and fish tails
Stickles for some fish tails and Oona's star

Wild Card 2 Series #3: Hammock Card

Sorry, I forgot to post this on Friday.  My husband returned from a 5 week long course and we celebrated our daughter Aslynn's 2nd birthday.  She had a Bubble Guppies themed party and I've been busy making invites, thank you cards and cupcake toppers.  I will from now on, make cupcakes!!! So much more you can do, less to prepare and the cupcake toppers were a HUGE hit! She was going crazy yesterday when she seen them on the table going into cupcakes.
So here is the latest card in the Wild Card 2 Series.  In a few days, I am going to do an extra post about my likes/dislikes about this cartridge and how it is SO different than Wild Card 1.  At the end of the series, I will do another post the same as above to see if my reaction has changed.
So here is the 3rd installment of this series.  Hope you like it.  I put the hammock on backwards but did like how it turned out.

Materials Used:
Wild Card 2 Cricut Cartridge by Provocraft (image on p. 24) cut at 4 1/4", phrase at 2"
Patterned orange paper by Colorbok, hammock patt. paper from scraps

Wild Card 2 Series #2: Get Whale Card

Back again with another Wild Card 2 card.  For this card, I tried the Fit to Page feature and I found that it was too big for me.  The suggested size for this card was 4  1/2" and I found that too small.  I am starting to sound like Goldilocks....

I chose 6" for the card.  The envelope has a small "top" liner.  Again, the phrase if cut at 6" comes out like a Real Dial size so I cut it again at 2".
Here is the finished product.
Card "Whale" can be found on p. 23 of the manual.
The blue patterned paper is from Colorbok and I got a huge 12 x 12 paper pad at our Dollar store for $2!!! All other papers are from my scrap stash!
I also added Glossy Accents to the water spout!  Too cute!

A snowflake is a like a butterfly...

Snowman from Doodlecharms Cricut Cartridge by Provocraft (p. 82) cut at 2"

Wild Card 2 Series #1: Feel Better Card

What a close race it was between Birthday Bash & Wild Card 2 but Wild Card 2 won by 1 VOTE!!!
So here is the first card out of 51.  For now, I will hopefully post one a night just to give you a start.  After that, I hope to post 2-3 cards every post day.  Remember, posts for this series will be every Monday, Wednesday & Friday until I finish or until the new baby comes.  So just in case I disappear I may have had our new little girl....
In a few days, I will also make a post on the manual for the Wild Card 2 cartridge as it is VERY different from the original Wild Card Cartridge.  There are no liners and the phrasing seems to also come out like a Real Dial Size.  I have not used this card until tonight as I wanted to learn along with you.  So if I do something different or wrong, please let me know.
Ok, enough chatter from me! Here's the card.

Since this is the first card, I will give you in detail how it was made.  The image and cuts can be found on p. 22 of the manual.  I wanted to make it as big as possible so I loaded a 12 x 12 sheet and used the fit to page feature at 5 1/4".  You will notice in the manual that it does say that a 4.5" or larger would be appropriate for this card due to the cuts.  I cut the envelope from white cardstock and used envelope shift from blue for the cloud.  Remember, there is no liner for this card.  The card base was also cut at 5 1/4" from dark blue Bazzil cardstock, and card shift from light blue.  I added Glossy Accents to the raindrops.
The rainbow was cut from pink, rainbow shift from yellow and again from teal blue (notice there are 2 cuts under rainbow shift), Layer 1 from Lime Green and Layer 1 shift from White.
I embossed the cloud using the Cuttlebug Divine Swirls folder.  Love the swirled look for clouds.
As mentioned earlier, if you cut the phrase at 5 1/4" it is HUGE so with some playing around I thought that the phrase cut at 2 1/2" was a better fit.  I used the Phrase Layer shift from white and then the Phrase from the blue.

It's hard to believe that Christmas is not that far away.  The good thing about most of this weeks challenges is the theme is "Christmas in July" which is forcing me to start my Christmas card making!  Never too early, especially when we are expecting a new baby girl in less than a month and a half!

Square Box Gift Idea

Back with another box from the Cricut Sweet Tooth Boxes.  I really LOVE this cartridge and know I am going to use it so much.  Every Christmas, I give a gift basic with homemade cards or tags, baked goods, salsa and jams plus a few other little things.  This will be year 5 for this.  I try to specialize the basket around the person.  Ideas have included a Bath & Body Works Basket, Kids Basket, Movie basket and others.
Here is my idea for either a sweet basket, cupcake (4), or even 5 X 7 cards.

materials Used:
Cricut Sweet Tooth Boxes Cartridge by Provocraft (p. 60) cut at 11 1/2", tag cut at 7 1/4"

Patterned paper: Whoville by We R Memory Keepers
Sentiment: Rub on from Stash
Bakers Twine
To & From from Close To My Heart Frosty Friends stamp set
