Die Cuttin' Divas Challenge #113: Anything Goes

Happy Tuesday.  Today, we have a great challenge for you at Die Cuttin' Divas.  Our challenge this week is Anything Goes.

For my project, I chose to re-decorate an Altered Composition Book for my husband.  He was just offered a Full Time position in his line of work after working as a casual for the past 3 years.  We are so proud of him and the goals he achieved in this past year to become full time!!!!
Since he is in Conservation and protects our Wildlife here in New Brunswick, I wanted to use Campin' Critters to create some cute "masculine" but Wildlife inspired pictures for him.

Craft Your Passion #160: Well Read...

Happy Monday.  I haven't been on the computer to do much the past few days. The weather has been beautiful here in New Brunswick finally getting into the high teens.  It was 19 degrees today but I have been battling elements of the flu and of course, had a headache all day Saturday.  It doesn't help when the kids decide to get up at 4:45 a.m!
This week we have a new challenge for you over at Craft Your Passion.  This week our sponsor is Melonheadz Illustrating. 
Now our challenge.  This weeks challenge is called Well Read. We challenge you to add text in the form of backing papers, background stamps, reading themed images, sentiment as focal point, etc...

For my card, I used the sentiment as focal point.  This week at Weekly Christmas Card Challenges is a perfect sketch for this very type of card! So I chose to use it.

My Christmas Card Stash is Low Hop!!!!

Welcome to the My Christmas Card Stash is Low Hop!


It is our sincere hope that this helps to inspire you to get working on those Holiday cards early so as to reduce a little of the stress felt around the season!

Our challenge this week is Flowers.

For my project, I chose to make some Mother's Day Cards using Simply Charmed for the flower, Plantin' Schoolbook for the grass and Create a Critter for the clouds.

 I wanted to make a baby Tulip one.  Loving his PK face!

Craft Your Passion Challenge # 159: Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend

Happy Monday!  I hope you all had a fantastic weekend.  I rained most of the day Saturday but it was warmer and Sunday was beautiful.

Cut It Up Challenge #17: Arbor Day

Today we have a great challenge over at Cut It Up Challenges for you. To celebrate Arbor Day, which is April 26th, we challenge you to use a tree on your project.  Remember, you must include a die cut as well somewhere on your project.  Easy peasy....

For my project, I used Just Because Cards Cricut Cartridge and made an All Occasion card.

Good Morning crafting friends.  Today we are inspired by Astronomy over at Die Cuttin' Divas. Our challenge this week, to celebrate Astronomy Day, you are to use a star in your project.

For my project, I used the Baby Steps Cricut Cartridge.  There are a lot of extra cuts in this cartridge and when searching through the book, I came across this star. I changed the sentiment in a few different stars.

What a beautiful weekend.  Last week we spent the majority of the week on Prince Edward Island visiting my family.  Needless to say, we spent the majority of the weekend cleaning up and getting a little relaxation in there as well.

Here's what I created for this challenge:

I chose to make a Side Stair Step card.  I found the tutorial here on how to make an A2 size.  

I used a Hero Arts Stamp set and the all patterned paper is from my scraps! I LOVE when you can use up scraps that have been hoarded for that special card.
 I used Create a Critter 2 for the Gingerbread house and the couple.  I added a cute little Peachy Keen face to the Gingerbread couple.

Craft Your Passion Challenge #157: SS Hoppity

Today starts a new challenge over at Craft Your Passion Challenges.  This week our Theme is
Water, Water, everywhere. You must use an image with water in it.

I used a Robyn's Fetish image called SS Hoppity. This site has such cute little images and if you can visit the site here.
 I used the image SS Hoppity and My Craft Spot baker's twine in Cherry Red.



I colored the image with my Prisma Coloring pencils and added some Glossy Accents to the water.

Cut It Up Challenges #16: Wet

Today we have a great challenge for you over at Cut It Up.  Our challenge this week is called Wet. We challenge you to make a project showing anything that is or can be wet.....and remember, you must include a die cut.
If your project follows the challenge theme and includes a die cut, you have a chance to win this fabulous prize.

For my project, I chose to make a Get Well Soon card using 3 Birds on Parade and Create a Critter.
 I used 3 Birds on Parade for the bird, umbrella and raindrops, and Create a Critter for the puddle.
 I also added Glossy Accents to make it look "wet".  Glossy accents were added to all rain, puddle, umbrella, birds boots and beak.

Die Cuttin' Divas #109: sketch Challenge

Happy Tuesday everyone.  I hope you all had a fabulous Easter weekend.  On Saturday, my children and I went Easter Egg Hunting and they were super excited to get all their chocolate.
Today brings a brand new challenge over at Die Cuttin' Divas. This week our challenge is a sketch challenge.
Our Guest Diva this week is the super talented Stacey from Stacey's Creative Corner.

 Here is my take on the sketch.  I flipped it on its side...

I wrapped the baker's twine to make it look like a lasso. 
I thought this sentiment was perfect for the image!
