Alice in Wonderland Card

I just bought the Disney Classics Cricut Cartridge and although I love the designs from the old Disney movies, I hate how small they cut out.  It took my over 1/2 hour to assemble Alice and this is one of the larger designs.  My daughter turns 2 in a few weeks and is OBSESSED with Alice in Wonderland, especially the tea party scene.  She loves having tea parties and my husband, son and I are often approached to wear these ridiculous hats and come and join her for "tea".  I bought this cartridge to make her invitations and thought I'd try this one out for a birthday card, not an invitation.  For the invitations I hope to make some explosion box invites.
So here's the birthday card ( I love it!)

"Manly" Gift card holder/Card

In the Wild Card Cartridge there is a gift card holder that I usually use for Christmas Gifts.  I am finishing an order of 40 cards for my mother and thought that I should include a gift card holder, I mean who doesn't love gift cards!  I wanted to make it "manly" and found this wicked patterned paper in my stash. One gift card holder can be used for a hardware supplies store and the other was for a coffee store that my brother frequently visits (Tim Hortons)
Here's the finished product...

Masculine Card Series #20: Pick of the Litter

I bought the Nate's ABC's Cricut Cartridge last week and love the cute little images perfect for any little boy.
It's hard to believe that this is the last card in the Masculine Card Series.  I've had a lot of fun making them and hope you've had some inspiration to make some of these designs and stock up on your masculine cards, the one type of card I'm sure we all agree is hard to make.

A2 Size card in Kraft Cardstock
Nate`s ABC`s Cricut Cartridge by Provocraft (p. 52 cut at 3 1/4``)`

Wild Card Series #35/Masculine Card Series #19: Fishing Card

If you do not own the Cricut Wild Card cartridge by Provocraft, you need to!  I love it.  Each card is so quick and simple and they have such sweet designs.
For my last male card, I have chosen to use the Father's Card on p. 66 of the Wild Card Manual.  It is designed for Father's Day, however I chose to use the Happy Birthday from the Cupcake on p. 61.

Masculine Card Series #18: He Shoots, He Scores

I had made this card before but had to make another for a card order that I am doing for my mother.  My son LOVES hockey.  I guess you could say he's a true Canadian.  Before he was 1 1/2, he knew who Don Cherry was and goalie and forward positions, and of course, who the Montreal Canadians were!!!
I used the Go Canada Cricut Cartridge for this card. I hope you like my take on a great Canadian Sport.

Masculine Card Series #16: Robot Birthday Card

What little boy doesn't love robots?  My son started a robot phase about 2 weeks ago and we made this card together.  He loves cutting out the design on the Cricut.
I had bought this cartridge about a month ago and haven't used it until now.
I wanted to make a gate-fold card for this as I always seem to make a regular A2 size card.
Here's our finished design!!!

Masculine Card Series #15: In Wilderness

Hi everyone!  It's a beautiful day in New Brunswick, Canada.  This morning I went and got my diabetes test done and I absolutely hate it!  So this afternoon, I have devoted in getting caught up in my card making.
I ordered this stamp set last month from Stampin' Up called In Wilderness.  My husband is a Conservation Officer and I think the images are beautiful, plus I love the sentiment.  I believe this set retired this past year so I am glad I ordered it in time.

Happily Every After

I got this idea for this card from Momo.  I really miss her posts...
I wanted to make a cute anniversary card and this is what a decided to scraplift.
For this card, I used my Cricut Sweethearts cartridge.  I admit, I often neglect this cartridge when making things and think I need to use this as my next card series challenge so I can get some use out of it.
The card base is an A2 size card measured the long way cut from light blue cardstock.  I used a small strip of green cardstock at the bottom and used my edged scissors to give it a grassy look.
The tree is found on p. 39 and was cut at 5".  I had to cut it a few times to get the different colored hearts, leaves and tree top. I added some white dots to the tree with my white Gel pen. The tree was centered slightly off the page and I cut the access off.
The couple is found on p. 35 and was cut at 3".

The sentiments are from the Wedding stamping set by Inkadinkadoo and was stamped using Memento Tuxedo black ink.
I entered this in the following challenge:
ABC Challenge-"R" for romance

CAS Baby Girl Card

I ordered this beautiful Stampin' Up set called Nursery Times.  Unfortunately, I must have not been a popular one as it retired after this past year.  I love it because of the cute Mother Goose kind of images and the possibilities for both girls and boys!
I colored it using my Stampin' Up pastels.  The striped patterned paper is from my scraps as is everything else!
For the scallop, I used my Once Upon a Princess cartridge and cut it at 4".  The circle is cut from Plantin' Schoolbook and was cut at 2 1/2".
I used some pink ribbon and bling from my stash.
The inside sentiment is from Stampin' Up Occasional Quotes.

Sympathy Card

I find sympathy cards very hard to make.  I do not like to make the card busy, I'd much rather a clean and simple look.  I got this stamp set from Inkadinkadoo on clearance at Walmart for $5.00 and thought I'd try it out.  While looking through my 12 x 12 patterned paper I came across this beautiful design and thought the two paired so well together.  My only regret is not buying a lot more of it.
The card base is cut from Kraft cardstock and is a A2 size card cut the long way.  The patterned paper is by Creative Imagination and is called Plumeria.  The small ivory mat measures 4" x 2 1/2" with the same Kraft paper mat measuring 4 1/4' x 2 3/4".
As mentioned the image is by Inkadinkadoo and is from the Meadow stamp set.  It was stamped using Stampin' Up ink called Creamy Caramel and the sentiment is stamped using Stampin' Up Chocolate Chip ink.  The sentiment inside and out is by Hero Art is comes from the Everyday Sayings set.

The ribbon was left over from my stash and is a beautiful brown.  (I think it's from Walmart)

Wild Card Series #32: Wedding Card

I have been making cards all weekend!  4 of my colleagues are retiring and I wanted to make them a little "going away" gift of a box of 15 cards.  So needles to say, I've been busy.
I hope you all had a fabulous Father's Day with your loved ones.
For my next card in the Wild Card Series, I chose to make this one as simple as possible.  I love this cartridge because it literally takes no time at all to make a card and there is something for every occasion.  The card can be found on p. 63 of the manual and was cut at 5 1/4".  I cut the envelope on blackout and then used some wedding paper from my stash.  The card is cut from white as I love the look of a simple white cake and all the other pieces are cut from my stash.  I added some Icicle Stickles to the brides dress and veil to give that "shimmery" look.

Masculine Card Series #13: Father's Day Cards

What a beautiful week this is going to be.  I am honored to have been asked to be a Guest Diva at Die Cuttin' Divas for the Manly Card for Father's Day Challenge.  This challenge can be found here.  I want to take this time to personally thank Georgiana and the "Diva" team for asking me!
For this challenge, I choose to make 2 cards.  One that my children helped me make for "Daddy" and the other I made for my husband, my father, and my father-in-law.
For the first card, I chose to use the Create A Critter cartridge and the camera image on p. 37.  I wanted to do a different take on the card by using a photo of our children in the camera lens instead of having the cardstock show.  The camera was cut at 3 1/2".
